Joel has taught

Since 2002, he has been an associate professor at San José State University. Before that, he held adjunct and lecturer positions at UC Irvine, Pepperdine and Temple University Japan. He has also developed teaching cases used at other universities, focusing on high technology businesses and the impact of technology on business.
