The original corpus included 287 articles (Table 2) published in the Top 25 innovation journals (Table 1), plus four other highly-cited works: three books by Chesbrough and one book chapter by Chesbrough. Of these 291 works, 151 referred to the Inbound or Coupled mode of open innovation (see Table 3) and were used as the sample for the literature review. These 151 works are listed below.
